State guide
RV rental in Indiana
Indiana is a fine state for a rolling vacation, and the rental market here reflects it. We count 21 companies listed across the state, averaging 4.5 stars. Travel trailers are the clear favorite with 9 of them, then 5 motorhomes and a single camper van. Six will deliver to you. I've rented four RVs in my time, one of them a genuine lemon, so I read the fine print now.

What the fleet looks like
Nine of the 21 listings are travel trailers, which suits Indiana nicely: tow one to a state park, set up, and use the truck for side trips. Five are motorhomes if you'd rather have everything in one vehicle, and there's exactly one camper van in the mix, so if that's your plan, start calling early. None of the listings here are one-way rentals, so plan a loop that returns to the pickup point. Ask about the security deposit and what your own auto policy or a separate rental policy actually covers before you sign. I learned that the hard way on rental number two.
The names worth knowing
Touchdown RV Rentals & RV Service in the top group carries a 4.8 from 212 reviews and rents travel trailers with delivery. Williamson RV also scores 4.8 over 103 reviews, offers motorhomes and travel trailers, and handles delivery plus insurance questions. Custom RV Furniture is a perfect 5.0 from 35 reviews, rents motorhomes, and allows pets, which matters if the dog is coming. Happy Campers RV Sales & Service has the biggest review count at 347 and a 4.4, renting camper vans and travel trailers. Smaller outfits like Triumph and 4Z have thin review histories, so ask more questions.
Money and logistics
Get the generator policy in writing. I once got hit with a surprise generator-hours fee at drop-off, and it soured an otherwise good trip. Ask about mileage limits too, since long hauls across Indiana add up fast. Kitchen and linen kits are usually optional extras, so confirm what's included rather than assuming. Pet rules vary by owner even where pets are allowed. Summer weekends and holiday weeks book out first, so reserve well ahead if your dates are fixed. Cities like Fort Wayne, Zionsville, Nappanee and Jeffersonville all have listings in the directory.
