About Wicked Campers
Wicked Campers rents camper vans out of Hawthorne, and the reviews suggest the staff is the reason people keep mentioning them. Several travelers describe being walked through the van carefully at pickup, and one names Achim as especially helpful. Another liked that the online chat answered questions quickly, even before the trip started. Reviewers say the vans held up. One drove LA to San Francisco to Yosemite and back with no mechanical issues, and another called the van in perfect condition. A rooftop tent got a shout out. People also mention value, with one renter saying the van was the best deal they found for a short California road trip. Insurance comes up in the reviews, both good and bad. One person praised how a branch falling on the van was handled, while another had a poor experience with coverage. A renter who had an accident said the company dealt with them fairly and got them back on the road fast. Hours vary, so check before you go.
