About Cruise America RV Rental and Sales
Cruise America runs a big rental operation out of Newark, part of a North American network that's been around since 1972. You can rent travel trailers, compact RVs, and compact plus RVs here. The place has a 4.0 rating from 938 Google reviews, so plenty of people have something to say. Reviewers often mention the pickup process and efficient staff. One first-timer said the staff walked them through everything, which made driving an RV easier. Others flagged the pricing on the reservation confirmation as confusing, with a deposit and down payment mixed into the total. Wait times come up too, and a few folks noted dirty windows or issues with the generator and refrigerator door. There's also a mention of the black water tank. The travel trailer rental drew mixed feedback: one reviewer found the weekend pickup and drop-off schedule inconvenient since they're closed Sunday. Another said their RV wasn't properly serviced, with a broken water pump and AC. Drop-off experiences vary as well. It's a large, employee-owned company, and the reviews reflect that range.
